Job Description And Duties

Working under the general direction of the Caltrans Maintenance Manager II, the Field Superintendent (CMAS) provides direction and oversight of all maintenance supervisors, crews and activities within the assigned area of responsibility. The incumbent directs District Field Maintenance and coordinates with Special Crews, and ensures that all Department safety practices are in compliance with District, Department, State and federal policies. Must be in possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License; a valid Class A driver's license is desirable. Overnight travel is occasionally required. Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
