Under supervision of a Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor, operate Category 1 and 2 equipment, perform highway maintenance tasks individually or with a crew. May work overtime during storms or emergencies. Must possess a valid Class A driver's license with Tank endorsement. Responsibilities include operating end-dump trucks, front-end loaders, motor graders, snow blowers, trailers, mowers, and other related vehicles. Tasks include paving, grading, mowing, ditch cleaning, pavement repair, signage, fencing, guardrails, culvert maintenance, traffic control, litter pickup, and general roadside and facility maintenance.

Applicants must pass drug screening and background investigation. A valid Class A commercial driver’s license with Tank Vehicle endorsement is required. Verification of minimum qualifications will be conducted prior to interview.
