Job summary

Jordan Family Learning Center in the Philadelphia area is seeking a Part-time Teacher’s Aide to support classrooms under supervision, ensuring ratios and routines stay on track and learning remains steady.

You will assist with supervision, meal routines, transitions, and classroom setup while modeling calm guidance and adhering to health and confidentiality policies. Clearances are required before unsupervised contact with children, with rolling hires across ages.

Qualifications

• Reliable, on-time and coachable are essential.
• Comfortable working with young children in a classroom/child-care setting.
• Able to follow supervision and stay within assigned area.
• Clearances and health documentation required before unsupervised contact with children.

Responsibilities

• Support active supervision: observe and engage with assigned children.
• Follow room routines, transitions, meals, rest, outdoor play and cleanup.
• Help prepare materials and keep the room organized.
• Model calm, respectful guidance and avoid harsh discipline.
• Report concerns to supervising teacher or Director immediately.
• Follow health, hygiene, confidentiality, and phone/photo rules.
