Job summary

Global Medical Response in Phoenix, AZ, is hiring a Full-Time Call Taker. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour and you must be located in Arizona.

The Remote Call Taker is responsible for receiving, recording and effectively managing requests for ambulance assistance/transport from Medical Facilities. You will handle data entry, generate reports, relay instructions, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies.

Qualifications

• One year in a call center environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and spoken English skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage ambulance requests from medical facilities.
• Record and document data accurately for each shift.
• Enter data accurately into systems and generate reports.
• Relay instructions and emergency information to staff.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to information systems security policies and training.
• Operate equipment including computer, recording devices and phones.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The Remote Call Taker is responsible for receiving, recording and effectively managing requests for ambulance assistance/transport from Medical Facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Respond to customer needs accordingly.
• Responsible and accountable for completeness and accuracy of documentation related to his/her position prior to completion of shift.
• Responsible for accurate and complete data entry for the shift.
• Responsible for generating applicable reports and checking for accuracy.
• Relays instructions from supervisors, messages and emergency information.
• Maintains a current working knowledge of all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and memorandums.
• Follows established parameters/formats in receiving requests for service.
• Responsible for knowledge and use of equipment, including but not limited to the computer, recording devices, telephones, and other equipment as assigned by superiors.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain competency and enhances professional growth and development through continuing education, conferences, and seminars.
• Maintain positive behaviors, approaches, attitude and commitment to interpersonal service toward customers, visitors, and coworkers.
• Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone’s responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

• One (1) Year in a Call Center Environment preferred

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Skills:

• Skilled in reading and writing English.
• Ability to work alone and independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately.
• Ability to efficiently utilize all equipment assigned to him/her.
• Ability to understand basic computer applications.
• Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
