In this independent role, you'll be responsible for managing switchboard operations, handling in-bound calls, and accurately documenting and relaying codes while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Managing codes includes overhead pages and calling in various teams for the emergency situation. This role supports our Monroe Clinic and Hospital, and also covers St. Mary's Janesville Hospitals calls after hours and weekends.

Department: Access Center

Schedule: PRN (pick up based on department needs) - Shifts could range from 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am - department is open 7 days a week. Most shift availability is 2nd and 3rd shift.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.

• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

• Rare climbing.
