Qualifications

• Five years of California Workers’ Compensation claims management experience or equivalent.
• Prior supervisory responsibility in a claims environment is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred; professional WC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for workers’ compensation claims.
• Monitor workloads, provide training, and direct examiner reports on adjudication.
• Maintain diaries on complex/high exposure claims and ensure timely disposition.
• Review reserve amounts and ensure adherence to audit requirements and standards.
• Serve as second level of appeal for client and claimant issues; implement outcomes.
• Maintain client relations and provide written summaries of claims as requested.
• Ensure staff are properly licensed in jurisdictions served and documentation is complete.
• Identify trends and coordinate with management on process improvements.
