Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Team Lead I for workers' compensation in a US telecommuter role. The position oversees multiple examiner teams, ensures accuracy in adjudication, and maintains strong client relationships while driving process improvements in a remote, flexible environment.

The ideal candidate has California WC claims management experience, supervisory capabilities, and a background in leadership and training.

Qualifications

• 5 years of California Workers' Compensation claims management experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises multiple teams of examiners and staff for workers' compensation claims.
• Identifies trends and advises management on actions; coordinates with projects.
• Provides technical direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
• Reviews reserve amounts on high-cost claims and those beyond examiner authority.
• Maintains client relations and provides written summaries of claims as requested by the client.
• Ensures reports and claim files are properly documented and licensed in jurisdictions serviced.
