Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited college preferred.
• California jurisdiction knowledge required; SIP within 1 year of hire.
• Four years of CA workers' compensation claims management experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex workers' compensation claims through investigation and information gathering.
• Negotiates settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Calculates and assigns reserves to claims and manages reserve adequacy.
• Calculates and pays benefits due; approves timely payments and settlements.
• Prepares necessary state filings within statutory limits.
• Manages the litigation process for cost-effective resolution.
• Reports claims to excess carriers and responds to directions promptly.
