Job summary

HDR is seeking a California Waste Business Development Leader to drive market opportunities, collaborate with leadership, and grow HDR’s reputation in the waste sector. You will coordinate with regional teams and lead client development efforts across multiple service lines.

With 10+ years in the industry, you will identify strategic opportunities, manage key client relationships, and develop plans to capture new markets.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated self-starter with ability to complete projects with limited oversight.
• Deep knowledge of procurement of professional services in A/E/C.
• Proven ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Proven ability to build a network of clients and industry partners.
• Experience in sales and developing win strategies.
• Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel and engage in-person.
• Experience in writing compelling content from technical information.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to drive market opportunities within California Waste sector.
• Identify market opportunities and develop plans to capture them.
• Coordinate with leaders to create a coordinated regional team.
• Track market changes and represent HDR's image and reputation.
• Develop and implement Waste client development plans and tracking.
• Serve as manager for key clients and build strategic partnerships.
• Identify talent in the waste market and assist with recruitment.
