Job summary

CMC North America is seeking a strategic Business Development leader to design and execute California’s GTM blueprint. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated sales team, solution architects, and Presales to nurture introductions and accelerate deals.

This role offers a flexible, part-time setup (~20 hours/week) aligned with your current ventures and board roles, with uncapped commissions and opportunities to co-author thought leadership and represent the brand at local events.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in tech leadership, enterprise sales, or consulting within California.
• Former CIO/CTO, VP Sales, or Managing Partner.
• Active board or speaker roles in regional tech associations.
• Robust C-level network (≥150 warm contacts) and strong LinkedIn presence in California.

Responsibilities

• Identify, nurture, and introduce CIO/CTO-level prospects needing custom software, cloud, or data services.
• Act as CMC North America’s face at regional conferences, chambers, and innovation councils; recommend sponsorships and partnerships.
• Leverage network to arrange executive dinners, site visits, and case-study showcases.
• Amplify CMC content on LinkedIn; collaborate with marketing on local success stories.
• Provide on-the-ground feedback on deal structuring, competitive threats, and hiring signals.
