Lithia Ford of Fresno is seeking an Experienced SMOG Technician to join our service team. You will perform CA Smog Check inspections, diagnose emissions concerns, and complete repairs to ensure vehicles meet state standards.

Open availability is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role offers a flat-rate pay structure and opportunities to advance your automotive knowledge and dealership experience.

Qualifications

• Current California Smog Inspector License (required).
• Smog Repair License is a favorable.
• 3+ years of previous dealership or high-volume automotive repair experience.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are favorable.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform California Smog Check inspections following state regulations.
• Conduct emissions testing and diagnose emissions-related concerns.
• Complete repairs necessary to bring vehicles into compliance when applicable.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Perform vehicle inspections and communicate repair recommendations to service advisors.
• Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
