Cottingham & Butler Claims Services (CBCS) is hiring a Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster for a fully remote role based in California. Candidates must have at least 1 year of workers’ compensation adjusting experience, CA license, and familiarity with CA laws.

You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims while maintaining strong communication with claimants, attorneys, and providers. The role offers flexibility with remote work from California and provides training and ongoing

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a workers compensation claims adjuster.
• License/state experience in California and your SIP.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Office and claims management software.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers' compensation claims.
• Communicate with CEOs, claimants, providers, and attorneys.
• Take statements from claimants and issue lost wage payments.
• Complete state filings and deny claims when appropriate.
• Handle subrogation and manage litigation where required.
