Job summary

Cottingham & Butler Claims Services (CBCS) is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster with California experience for a fully remote role. You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers’ compensation claims, taking statements, issuing wage payments, filing state paperwork, and coordinating with claimants, providers, and attorneys.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in WC claims adjusting, CA license/SIP, and strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a workers' compensation claims adjuster.
• License/state experience in California and your SIP.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations; strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers' compensation claims.
• Take statements, issue lost wage payments, complete state filings, and manage subrogation/litigation as needed.

Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster (California Experience Required)

Location: Remote (Must be located in California)

Who says you can't have it all? Cottingham & Butler Claims Services (CBCS) is offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and exciting position without the commute! This is a fully remote position, and prior workers’ compensation adjusting experience is required (including taking statements, issuing lost wage payments, completing state filings, denying claims, handling subrogation, managing litigation, etc.).

As a Workers Compensation Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling workers compensation claims on behalf of our clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be detail-oriented, and possess a strong understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations. You will be communicating with a wide variety of individuals, including CEOs, claimants, providers offices, and attorneys.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a workers compensation claims adjuster.
• License/state experience in California and your SIP.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Office and claims management software.
