Job summary

AdVran Inc. is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to monitor SIEM alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate with escalation engineers across client environments. You will help tune detections, perform threat hunting, and support compliance efforts as part of a 24/7 SOC.

We value hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, EDR/MDR tools, and security best practices. This role is remote-first within California with on-site options at Anaheim as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a SOC, incident response, or security analyst role
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and common threat vectors
• Experience with SIEM platforms (Sentinel, Splunk, or similar)
• Familiarity with EDR/MDR tools and endpoint security
• Relevant certifications preferred (Security+, CySA+, GCIH)

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM alerts and investigate potential security incidents
• Threat hunting across client endpoints, networks, and cloud environments
• Triage, elevate, and document security events per incident response procedures
• Tune detection rules and reduce false positive rates
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and track remediation progress
• Support client compliance audits with security evidence and reporting
