Job summary

Elessent Clean Technologies is seeking a hands-on EHS Manager to lead environmental, health and safety compliance at the MECS Catalyst Plant in California. This role acts as the site's EHS technical authority and requires strong knowledge of state regulations.

You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and site leadership to identify risk, drive corrective actions and supervise an EHS Specialist, with budget responsibility.

Qualifications

• Significant California EHS regulatory experience in chemical or process manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of federal, California and local EHS requirements.
• Ability to interpret regulations, permits and agency requirements independently.
• Experience with permitting, reporting, inspections and audits.
• Ability to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site's technical authority for environmental, health and safety compliance.
• Own environmental permits, regulatory reporting, inspections and records.
• Lead programs for air quality, hazardous materials, wastewater and related requirements.
• Oversee EHS training and incident investigations.
• Maintain field presence to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.
