Job summary

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist in Newport Beach, CA.

The role focuses on implementing and maintaining EHS programs, ensuring Cal/OSHA and OSHA compliance, and supporting a culture of safety across operations. The successful candidate will conduct inspections, manage hazardous waste, SDS compliance, and risk mitigation while coordinating trainings and safety meetings with the EHS team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a health and safety role with a bachelor’s degree in health and safety or related field.
• Knowledge of Cal/OSHA, OSHA and other regulations required.
• Experience with EHS programs, IIPP, HazCom and training.
• OSHA 30 Hour preferred; strong documentation and audit skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain EHS programs to comply with Cal/OSHA Title 8 and OSHA standards.
• Support IIPP and HazCom, keeping documentation current.
• Conduct site inspections and audits; coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage hazardous waste programs and SDS compliance.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and report to regulations.
• Coordinate safety meetings and annual drills across sites.
• Assist with inspections and audits by regulatory agencies.
