Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Comparative Medicine Training Specialist to lead training programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and administer learning systems across California sites including Irvine and the ABA campus.

The role partners with Comparative Medicine leadership, EHS, Facilities, and other stakeholders to support safe, compliant in vivo research operations, personnel competency, and continuous training improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary laboratory animal science programs and animal welfare regulations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing, coordinating, and delivering classroom, technical, and hands-on training programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead training initiatives for California research sites (Irvine and ABA campus).
• Develop and deliver instructional programs on laboratory animal care, vivarium operations, and research procedures.
• Maintain training records and ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
