Job summary

Blue Ridge Automation is seeking a full-time Instrument Calibration Technician to perform routine and non-routine calibrations in compliance with 21 CFR Part 58.63, Part 210, and Part 211, aligning with GLP and GMP. This role includes maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs onsite at Indianapolis.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in FDA-regulated, aerospace, or pharmaceutical environments and will report to the Calibration Manager on a 12-hour night shift with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in instrumentation or calibration
• Experience in regulated environments (FDA/GLP/GMP) is preferred
• Proficiency with calibration equipment (multimeters, calibrators, sensors) and related tools
• Familiarity with calibration management systems (Beamex, ProCal) and regulatory documentation

Responsibilities

• Adjusts and repairs instruments to meet calibration tolerances.
• Sets up standards and lab equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate instruments.
• Participates in lean initiatives to improve efficiency, solve problems, and reduce costs.
• Interprets P&IDs, loop diagrams, datasheets and OEM manuals for calibrations.
• Maintains reference standards with traceability to NIST or national metrology institutes.
• Provides timely calibration support to manufacturing, quality and other departments.
• Ensures GMP/GLP documentation and assists with audits and inspections.
