Job summary

Micro Precision Calibration Inc. is seeking a calibration technician to calibrate a variety of test instruments across electrical, industrial, and temperature equipment. You will collect data, complete calibrations with certifications, and communicate results to customers and coworkers. Training is available for newcomers to the calibration industry.

The role involves on-site work in Grass Valley, CA, with up to 25% travel to customer facilities. Enjoy benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Basic knowledge of Mechanical and Dimensional equipment preferred.
• Experience in basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred.
• Basic mathematics understanding.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to work both independently and under supervision of Senior Technicians.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate a variety of test instruments across multiple skill areas (Electrical, Industrial, Temperature).
• Perform standards maintenance and checking of company standards as assigned by Lab Manager.
• Collect calibration data and complete calibration certifications, including out of tolerance conditions.
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members and stay updated on calibration processes.
• Communicate calibration issues and procedures clearly with customers and coworkers by phone, in person, and via email.
