Job summary

Aveva Drug Delivery Systems Inc. in Florida is seeking an experienced Calibration Technician II to join the Metrology Lab.

You will perform advanced calibration and testing of electrical, electronic, and mechanical instruments, lead calibration activities, develop methods, and write SOPs to ensure regulatory conformance. You will maintain calibration records, coordinate with vendors, and train staff in metrology practices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in metrology, electronics, or electrical technology required.
• Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates complex electrical/electronic precision measuring and testing equipment.
• Evaluates equipment condition and troubleshoot/repair instruments.
• Performs mechanical inspection of critical mechanical components.
• Develops calibration methods on new equipments.
• Writes and evaluates calibration procedures on SOPs.
• Participates in equipment validations and failure analysis.
• Maintains accuracy, filing and storage of calibration records to comply with FDA and company policies.
• Maintains outside vendors contact for technical support and parts ordering.
• Uses computerized equipment and software to perform testing function.
• Ensures all equipment are calibrated and certified.
• Generates memos and reports.
• Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
• Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes.
• Operates in accordance with our Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, and all established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements.

Job Summary:Under general supervision, performs advanced journey level calibration duties; tests, calibrates, and repairs electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic measuring, recording and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards.
