Job summary

Transcat is seeking an entry-level Calibration Technician I to join our lab and customer sites. You will learn calibration fundamentals across multiple disciplines and support standardization of test methods.

This role offers hands-on training, safety-compliant operations, and opportunities to advance within the calibration track. The position requires performing calibration work in lab or on-site, with supervision, and travel 25–50% as you gain independence.

Qualifications

• Completed training materials via on-the-job training, online content, LMS, and classroom instruction.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated learner capable of acquiring calibration skills.
• Ability to take direction and learn from feedback.
• Clear communication with supervisor and team.
• 3+ years driving with a valid license and acceptable history.

Responsibilities

• Learn calibration fundamentals in a lab setting; explore measurement and electronics concepts.
• Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques.
• Maintain calibration standards.
• Demonstrate competency in at least three disciplines (e.g., dimensional, electrical, temperature).
• Perform calibration work in lab or on-site with supervision.
• Adhere to safety and company standards.
• Travel 25-50% of the schedule.
