Job summary

Transcat, a leading calibration and compliance services provider, seeks an entry-level Calibration Technician I in Ohio. You will learn calibration fundamentals, support lab work, and assist on-site calibrations at customer locations, with 25–50% travel.

Ideal candidates have an Associates degree or 1 year of related experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly. This role offers training, development, and a path to Calibration Technician II within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of assigned training materials through on-the-job training, online content, LMS, and classroom led instruction.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes.
• Ability to communicate well with supervisor, solve problems effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team.
• 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driver history.

Responsibilities

• Learn calibration fundamentals and measurement techniques in a lab setting.
• Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques.
• Maintain calibration standards.
• Develop working knowledge in at least three disciplines (dimensional, electrical, torque, etc.).
• Perform calibration work in the lab or at a customer site.
• Fulfill duties safely per company standards.
• Travel 25-50% of the schedule.
