Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is hiring a Quality Calibration Technician I for the 1st Shift in New Hampshire. The role focuses on supporting gage calibration for electrical, mechanical, and electronic instruments, ensuring conformance to established standards.

You will learn to use precision measuring tools, read mechanical drawings, maintain calibration records, and assist engineers in test plans. The position emphasizes on-site work in a manufacturing environment with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent paired with inspection experience at level 1 or higher.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints and tolerances.
• Basic GD&T knowledge and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Experience using calibration software such as Gage Trak.
• Clear communication in English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Set up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
• Disassemble gages and instruments and inspect components for defects.
• Measure parts for conformity with specifications.
• Reassemble and calibrate gages and instruments.
• Provide efficient and accurate performance of routine mechanical gage calibrations including maintenance of calibration records.
• Assist engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.
• Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and strive to find solutions.
• Seek and act upon ways to improve daily work processes to enhance productivity.
• Participate in 5S Workplace activities, maintaining the area in good working order through sustainment activities.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
• May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
• May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
