Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Calibration Technician to support manufacturing operations at East Greenbush, NY.

You will calibrate instrumentation across temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytical devices, perform loop checks, tune, troubleshoot, and start-up equipment. You will work with medium and low voltages, perform basic plumbing tasks, and assist Facilities Management-Maintenance with troubleshooting facilities and process issues.

Qualifications

• AAS degree preferred in Engineering or Construction Technologies.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and ability to learn procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytical devices.
• Perform loop checks, tune, troubleshoot, and start-up instrumentation.
• Work with medium and low voltages and basic plumbing tasks.
• Assist FM-M maintenance with troubleshooting facilities and process issues.
• Process daily Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) and document them.
• Coordinate with departments and plan outside contractor work when needed.

Calibration Technicians support our manufacturing operations by performing mechanical, electrical, calibration, electronic, and utility-related tasks. When & where:

Location: East Greenbush, New York, United States

Working shifts available:

• Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
• Sunday-Wednesday 6:00am-4:30pm
• Wednesday-Saturday 6:00am-4:30pm

Training shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm for approximately 6 months

Discover your role:

• Calibrate various types of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytical instruments
• Perform loop check, tune, troubleshoot, and start-up of instrumentation
• Work with medium and low voltages
• Perform basic plumbing and tube bending jobs
• Assist the Facilities Management-Maintenance (FM-M) process and Clean Utility technicians in troubleshooting facilities and process related issues
• Perform daily Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM), and efficiently coordinating the workflow and documentation of PMs and WOs
• Communicate and coordinate with each department and within Facilities Management when planned and unplanned work events occur
• Plan and schedule outside contractors/vendors to perform scheduled and/or non-scheduled PM or general work, as needed
• Participate in compliance investigations if and when necessary

This role requires:

AAS degree, preferably in an Engineering or Construction Technologies related area and the following minimum years of related experience for each level: Calibration Technician II: 2+ years or HSD/GED and 5+ years Calibration Technician III: 5+ years or HSD/GED and 8+ years Calibration Technician IV: 8+ years or HSD/GED and 11+ years

• Demonstrated basic problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn and follow routine procedures independently as well as part of a team
• The ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs
• Participating in a rotating on-call schedule
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain effective time management skills to allow deadlines to be met in a timely manner
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and overall comfort and general familiarity with computer systems

Gowning and Environment:

• Full cleanroom attire (Examples may include: including laundered undergarments, gown, facemask, hairnet, safety glasses, safety shoes and booties, latex gloves and the use of sanitizing agents during gowning process including IPA)
• Ability to remove jewelry, make-up and nail adornments when wearing cleanroom attire
