Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Calibration Technician in East Greenbush, NY. You will calibrate instrumentation, perform startup and troubleshooting, and support Facilities Management with maintenance tasks.

The role requires an AAS in engineering-related fields, strong problem solving, and the ability to handle physical tasks and rotating on-call duties. On-site work with a collaborative, safety-conscious team environment.

Qualifications

• AAS degree in Engineering or Construction Technologies.
• Calibration Technician II/III/IV progression based on years of related experience.
• Demonstrated basic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn and follow routine procedures independently or in a team.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
• Rotating on-call schedule participation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient time management to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate instrumentation across temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytics.
• Perform loop checks, tune, troubleshoot, and start up instrumentation.
• Work with medium and low voltages.
• Perform basic plumbing and tube bending tasks.
• Assist FM-M and Clean Utility teams in troubleshooting facilities and process issues.
• Process daily Work Orders and Preventative Maintenance, coordinating workflow.
• Coordinate with departments on planned and unplanned work events.
• Schedule outside contractors for PM or general work as needed.
• Participate in compliance investigations when necessary.

• Training shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm for approximately 6 months

Discover your role:

• Calibrate various types of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytical instruments


• Perform loop check, tune, troubleshoot, and start-up of instrumentation


• Work with medium and low voltages


• Perform basic plumbing and tube bending jobs


• Assist the Facilities Management-Maintenance (FM-M) process and Clean Utility technicians in troubleshooting facilities and process related issues


• Perform daily Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM), and efficiently coordinating the workflow and documentation of PMs and WOs


• Communicate and coordinate with each department and within Facilities Management when planned and unplanned work events occur


• Plan and schedule outside contractors/vendors to perform scheduled and/or non-scheduled PM or general work, as needed


• Participate in compliance investigations if and when necessary

This role requires:

• AAS degree, preferably in an Engineering or Construction Technologies related area and the following minimum years of related experience for each level:
  
  
  
  • Calibration Technician II: 2+ years or HSD/GED and 5+ years
  
  
  • Calibration Technician III: 5+ years or HSD/GED and 8+ years
  
  
  • Calibration Technician IV: 8+ years or HSD/GED and 11+ years
  
  
  
  


• Demonstrated basic problem-solving skills


• Ability to learn and follow routine procedures independently as well as part of a team


• The ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs


• Participating in a rotating on-call schedule


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to maintain effective time management skills to allow deadlines to be met in a timely manner


• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and overall comfort and general familiarity with computer systems

Gowning and Environment:

• Full cleanroom attire (Examples may include: including laundered undergarments, gown, facemask, hairnet, safety glasses, safety shoes and booties, latex gloves and the use of sanitizing agents during gowning process including IPA)


• Ability to remove jewelry, make-up and nail adornments when wearing cleanroom attire
