Job summary

Tanknology, Inc. is seeking a motivated Meter Calibration Technician Apprentice to join our field service team.

You will learn through an apprenticeship-style program until certified, working at various job sites to calibrate fuel dispensers, truck meters, and related equipment using certified test measures. Candidates should have 1–3 years of meter calibration experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in meter calibration (e.g. positive displacement/turbine), pulsers, registers, air eliminators, strainers.
• Ability to use and maintain calibration standards (field provers) with valid certification.
• Pre-Employment Testing: Drug, background, physical, and MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Calibrations on fuel dispensers, truck meters, rack meters, and related equipment.
• Conduct leak checks and flow rate verification.
• Diagnose, repair, troubleshoot meters and fuel dispenser.
• Complete work orders, calibration certificates, and variance reports with accurate notes and photos.
• Ensure documentation meets state regulatory, customer, and QA/QC requirements.
• Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on your company vehicle.
