Job summary

Zoetis is seeking a calibration technician to join our Oklahoma operations. You will calibrate a variety of equipment, adhere to cGMP practices, and perform related maintenance tasks.

The role requires basic technical aptitude and a willingness to learn regulatory requirements such as APHIS, VMD, and OSHA. Responsibilities include using calibration standards, operating hand and power tools, and maintaining accurate logs in SAP/CMMS.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and technical aptitude.
• Preferred associate degree in a technical field (electro-mechanical).
• Relevant experience in pharma or food manufacturing is a plus.
• Calibration experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in regulated (FDA/USDA) or GMP environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations on equipment across multiple parameters (pressure, temperature, flow, conductivity).
• Operate calibration standards, hand and power tools professionally.
• Assist with filter certification, troubleshooting, and preventative/predictive maintenance.
• Adhere to cGMP and complete paperwork in SAP/CMMS and equipment logbooks.
• Learn and comply with APHIS, VMD and OSHA regulatory requirements.
• May perform hazardous waste pickup and related training as required.
• Support other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Hours: 1st Shift, 7:00am – 3:30pm (typical). Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations on a wide variety of equipment, utilizing calibration standards for pressure, temperature, flow, conductivity, and other equipment functions.
• Competently operate calibration standards, hand and power tools.
• Other responsibilities can include filter certification, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and performing preventative/predictive maintenance.
• Understand and utilize Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) when completing assigned work and paperwork such as work orders, SOPs, SAP (CMMS System), and equipment logbooks.
• Learn and comply with regulatory requirements such as APHIS, VMD & OSHA.
• May be required to perform Hazardous Waste Pickup and understand and comply with hazardous waste training.
• May be required to perform HAZWOPER clean up.
• Actively develop skills by completing training and job progression steps.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience

Required:

• Highschool diploma or GED.
• A technical aptitude.

Preferred:

• Associate degree in a technical field such as Electro-Mechanical.
• Relevant experience in Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing.
• Previous calibration experience is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in regulated (FDA, USDA, etc.) or GMP-industry preferred.

Physical Position Requirements

• Safely work in an industrial environment using approved procedures, i.e., Lockout/tagout, confined space, line break, right to know, PPE, etc.
• Have experience in the use of hand and power tools.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Never more.
• Work in areas that may be hot, cold, stinky, noisy, ultra-clean, or require additional PPE.
• May be exposed to temperature variations, prolonged standing, or walking.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
