Job summary

Zoetis is seeking a calibration-focused professional for our manufacturing site. Primary responsibilities include calibrating equipment with standards for pressure, temperature, flow, and conductivity while maintaining compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and SAP CMMS records.

The role emphasizes on-the-job training, the potential for hazardous waste handling, and ongoing skills development within a safe, regulated environment at the Lincoln facility.

Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or GED required.
  • A technical aptitude.
  • Associate degree in a technical field such as Electro-Mechanical.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations on equipment using calibration standards for pressure, temperature, flow, conductivity.
  • Operate calibration standards and tools; perform maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Follow cGMP and complete work orders, SOPs, SAP (CMMS), and equipment logs.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements such as APHIS, VMD & OSHA; may perform Hazardous Waste pickup and HAZWOPER cleanup.
  • Develop skills through training and progression; perform other duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibility will be performing calibrations on a wide variety of equipment, utilizing calibration standards for pressure, temperature, flow, conductivity, and other equipment functions. Competently operate calibration standards, hand and power tools. Other responsibilities can include filter certification, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and performing preventative/predictive maintenance.
  • Understand and utilize Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) when completing assigned work and paperwork such as work orders, SOPs, SAP (CMMS System), and equipment logbooks. Learn and comply with regulatory requirements such as APHIS, VMD & OSHA.
  • Incumbent may be required to perform Hazardous Waste Pickup and understand and comply with hazardous waste training. Incumbent may be required to perform HAZWOPER clean up.
  • Actively develop skills by completing training and job progression steps.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and Experience

You’ll need to have:

  • Highschool diploma or GED required.
  • A technical aptitude.
Even Better if you have:
  • Associate degree in a technical field such as Electro-Mechanical.
  • Relevant experience in Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing.

Previous calibration experience is highly preferred. Prior experience in regulated (FDA, USDA, etc.) or GMP-industry preferred.

Physical Position Requirements
  • SAFELY work in an industrial environment using approved procedures, i.e., Lockout/tagout, confined space, line break, right to know, PPE, etc.,
  • Have experience in the use of hand and power tools…it’s Maintenance after all,
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.…never more,
  • Work in areas that may be hot, cold, stinky, noisy, ultra-clean, or require additional PPE. May be exposed to temperature variations, prolonged standing, or walking,
  • Valid drivers’ license may be required.
