Job summary

Zoetis is seeking a detail-focused Calibration Technician for our Lincoln, NE facility. The role involves calibrating a wide range of equipment and ensuring compliance with cGMP standards across manufacturing operations.

First shift, with potential overtime, weekends, and holidays. Benefits include a $500 sign-on bonus, 4 weeks paid vacation, 13 holidays, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive health coverage from day one.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a technical field such as Electro-Mechanical is preferred.
• Previous calibration experience is highly preferred.
• Regulatory experience with FDA/USDA or GMP environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility will be performing calibrations on equipment using calibration standards for pressure, temperature, flow, conductivity and other functions.
• Adhere to cGMP and complete paperwork in work orders, SOPs, SAP (CMMS), and equipment logbooks; comply with APHIS, VMD & OSHA requirements.
• May perform Hazardous Waste pickup and complete hazardous waste training; may be required to perform HAZWOPER cleanup.
• Actively develop skills through training and progression steps.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Responsibilities

Looking for a detail-focused technician who takes pride in a job well-done…

• Primary responsibility will be performing calibrations on a wide variety of equipment, utilizing calibration standards for pressure, temperature, flow, conductivity, and other equipment functions. Competently operate calibration standards, hand and power tools. Other responsibilities can include filter certification, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and performing preventative/predictive maintenance.
• Understand and utilize Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) when completing assigned work and paperwork such as work orders, SOPs, SAP (CMMS System), and equipment logbooks. Learn and comply with regulatory requirements such as APHIS, VMD & OSHA.
• Incumbent may be required to perform Hazardous Waste Pickup and understand and comply with hazardous waste training. Incumbent may be required to perform HAZWOPER clean up.
• Actively develop skills by completing training and job progression steps.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience

You'll need to have:

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• A technical aptitude.

Even Better if you have:

• Associate degree in a technical field such as Electro-Mechanical.
• Relevant experience in Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing.

Previous calibration experience is highly preferred. Prior experience in regulated (FDA, USDA, etc.) or GMP-industry preferred.

Physical Position Requirements

Our team works in a variety of conditions from laboratories to farm operations…but everyone needs to:

• SAFELY work in an industrial environment using approved procedures, i.e., Lockout/tagout, confined space, line break, right to know, PPE, etc.,
• Have experience in the use of hand and power tools…it's Maintenance after all,
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.…never more,
• Work in areas that may be hot, cold, stinky, noisy, ultra-clean, or require additional PPE. May be exposed to temperature variations, prolonged standing, or walking,
• Valid drivers' license may be required.
