Job summary

Copeland, a global climate technologies company based in Sidney, Ohio, is seeking a Senior Calibration Technician to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and upgrade laboratory test stands used for HVACR compressors. This on-site role focuses on maintaining testing operations and supporting lab personnel across shifts.

You will travel about 15% domestically and internationally to calibrate equipment at manufacturing plants, create procedures, and provide technical support for test systems using

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Systems Integration, or Controls related field plus five (5) years working in field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated knowledge integrating instruments and systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 15% of the time
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
• Associates degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Systems Integration, or Controls related field plus ten (10) years working in field
• ETMS - Electronics Technician Maintenance School
• Experience with AC power management
• Various PLC or other programming experience

If you are a calibration support or maintenance professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate equipment used to test HVACR compressors. You will respond to maintenance requests, support shipping activities, provide parts to internal and external quality labs, and help keep testing operations running smoothly. You'll also serve as a technical resource for laboratory equipment and testing systems.

AS A SENIOR CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:

• Calibrate, install, troubleshoot, and upgrade Copeland Laboratory test stands
• Create and update team procedures
• Provide technical support for test equipment utilizing various PLC programming languages (Yokogawa, Redlion, and Mitsubishi), methods, and custom applications
• Travel to our manufacturing plants throughout the US and Mexico for annual calibration, audits, repairs, modifications, and maintenance of new and existing equipment

SCHEDULE:

This role is based fully onsite as a first-shift position with a regular schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Associates degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Systems Integration, or Controls related field plus five (5) years working in field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated knowledge integrating instruments and systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
