Title: Process Technicians (Calibration Technician)

Overview of Work
Pharmaceutical manufacturing facility / office environment. Will report to Hard Services Manager. The team includes maintenance, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and electricians.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of benchtop lab equipment, sub‑zero freezers, environmental chambers, and calibrate temperature and pressure gauges.
- Diagnose problems on instrument loops and control logic; calibrate transmitters, actuators, and sensors; repair components such as control modules, analyzers, and mechanical replacement parts. Perform preventive maintenance and document work (IQ/OQ, Installation Qualification / Operational Qualification).
- Recommend changes to maintenance schedules; participate in Proactive Asset Management (PAM) process to develop and revise procedures and job plans.
- Apply safety practices: PPE, shop safety, confined space entry, CFC guidelines, and other applicable safety requirements. Work in a multi‑craft environment and assist other crafts as needed.
- Complete regulatory training and meet GMP/GLP and environmental regulations. Maintain compliance, manage ITP, and complete documentation associated with maintenance activities.
- Utilize GMARS, LillyNet, My Workplace, and other corporate systems for time entry, work order notes, email, MSDS, safety manuals, training, and performance management.
- Maintain safety compliance, attend departmental safety meetings and keep training up to date.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating electronic equipment in calibration, repair, and service directly related to process instrumentation.
- Experience with electrical trade apprenticeship (four‑year) or equivalent is preferred.
Education
- Associate degree in electronics or equivalent (minimum 2 years). 2-5 years of field experience in electronic equipment calibration, repair, and service, or a four‑year apprenticeship in the electrical trade.
Skills
- Commercial / industrial experience; ability to work independently and in a team.
- Soft skills: good customer service.
- Software: use of CMMS system, email.
- OSHA 10 Construction (preferred but not required).
