Job description

Join the Pharmaceutical Calibrations and Instrumentation (PCI) team! We are seeking a Calibration Technician III to perform calibrations, preventive maintenance, qualifications, and relocations for a variety of instruments such as electronics, temperature devices, pressure gauges, centrifuges, incubators, and balances at client pharmaceutical facilities in Indianapolis, IN and other Midwest sites.

Responsibilities

• Complete calibrations, qualifications, and preventive maintenance with accurate and timely GxP documentation.
• Provide proactive support to the team and develop client relationships through excellent customer service.
• Identify, report, and troubleshoot safety issues at the work site and educate peers on safe practices.
• Handle and maintain PCI and client equipment, including testing and standards equipment, with care.
• Manage project supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for all projects.
• Mentor junior associates and contribute to onboarding processes.
• Recognize and pursue value‑added business opportunities at client sites.
• Develop and assist with proposals and quotes for new and existing clients.
• Maintain a neat, professional work area and project a professional image at all times.
• Complete timesheets and expense reports weekly with accurate labor codes.

Skills Required

• Basic understanding of traceability, substitution of standards, and test accuracy.
• Skilled with pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical instrumentation and manual/computer‑based process control systems.
• Ability to climb stairs, work on equipment such as tanks, and lift moderate to heavy loads.
• Understanding and awareness of safety requirements and safe practices.
• General electrical panel knowledge and electrical safety procedures.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Reliable, confident, eager to learn, and enjoy working with people.
• Good listening skills and willingness to ask questions to learn more.
• Strong organizational skills.

Experience & Education

A two‑year degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (or equivalent military training) plus four years of applicable experience in metrology, instrumentation, or calibration, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Quality system/pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
