Job summary

Vance Airscoop in Elizabeth City, NC seeks a field sales and service specialist for cryogenic metering systems. You will prepare quotations, call on customers, and back up inside sales while supporting calibration, repairs, and start-up activities at customer sites.

Travel up to 50% domestically or internationally may be required during training and post-training periods. The role emphasizes precise calibration work, product support, and collaboration with QA and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electronics aptitude is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• High energy level, high standards of excellence, integrity and work ethic.
• Must be in sound physical condition and able to lift 50 pounds unaided.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a US passport.

Responsibilities

• Produce quotation for cryogenic metering systems, parts and field service in response to customer inquiries.
• Make sales calls on cryogenic metering system customers and potential customers.
• Backup the inside sales group for non-cryogenic sales inquiries as needed.
• Report quality related issues on cryogenic products to QA and Engineering managers.
• Track and record competitive information including competitor pricing and product offerings.
• Make recommendations for new products and product features.
• Travel to customer locations to perform field calibration and/or repairs to cryogenic metering systems and metering proving systems owned by customers as required.
• Travel to customer locations to provide start-up assistance and training on cryogenic metering systems and meter proving systems as required.
• Travel to customer locations to supervise the installation and monitor the performance of new products undergoing field trials as required.
• Travel to customer locations and other locations to support product certification and testing programs as required.
• Must have the ability to travel up to 50% of the time domestically or internationally is a requirement for the position during both the training and post-training periods.
• Prepare quotations under adequate supervision by senior Cryogenic sales and service staff.
• Conduct all calibration-related work in accordance with Hoffer standards for quality.
