Job summary

MTS Systems Corporation in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking an Accreditation Specialist to safeguard its ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation within the calibration QMS. You will embed calibration requirements, lead training, and partner with quality, metrology, and product development teams from concept to launch.

The role emphasizes process improvement, audits, metrics, and customer surveys, with collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure readiness for product release and ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, operations, science, or engineering plus 1-2 years of related experience, or an Associate's degree plus 4+ years.
• 1+ year of ISO 17025 QMS experience.
• Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 assessments and accreditation body involvement.
• Basic understanding of MS SharePoint site maintenance.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong critical thinking, interpretive, and analytical skills.
• Lean and Six Sigma familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee the calibration QMS health and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
• Analyze, recommend, and drive best practices for global process alignment.
• Monitor evolving industry standards to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure training, proficiency testing, and records are current for quality system elements.
• Develop and track quality metrics related to customer satisfaction and improvement actions.
• Manage customer quality surveys and audits for calibration services.
• Support internal audits and verify corrective actions are completed.
• Serve as a root cause analysis resource across quality and calibration issues.
• Develop calibration training modules with the MTS Training group.
• Maintain accreditation training matrix and FSE authorizations.
• Collaborate with Metrologists and NPD teams on calibration methods and readiness for product launch.
• Act as go-to calibration expert for issues beyond Field Service and Tech Support.
• Communicate clearly and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
