Job summary

TAI is seeking an Instrument/Calibration Technician to support biopharmaceutical facilities in the Baltimore-Washington area. You will calibrate, commission, troubleshoot, and repair complex instrumentation essential to manufacturing and lab operations.

This hands-on role advances reliable operations across autoclaves, BMS/BAS, CIP/SIP, and other utility systems. You will maintain calibration schedules, create procedures, and provide technical support, ensuring compliance and safety while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or trade school certification is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as Instrument, Metrology, or Calibration Tech in a related industry.
• Knowledge of servicing I&C equipment in biopharmaceutical sites is preferred.
• Experience calibrating instruments including autoclaves, incubators, freezers, refrigerators, BMS/BAS, bioreactors, AHUs, CIP/SIP, RODI, WFI, utility systems, and fermenters.
• Experience creating and implementing Monthly Calibration Schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain calibration standards and ensure good working condition.
• Perform calibration and service work per in-house/site procedures.
• Provide technical support for calibration processes and procedures.
• Create calibration procedures and monthly calibration schedules.
• Complete calibration certificates and approve certificates as needed.
• Travel as required to support Baltimore-Washington DC Metro Area clients.
