Job summary

JM Test Systems is seeking a Calibration Lab Technician I to join our lab team and support hands-on calibration, inspection, repair, and certification of instruments across multiple disciplines. You will learn in our in‑house metrology lab, then contribute to customer site work, applying procedures and data to ensure instrument accuracy and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a solid math foundation, a curiosity about how things work, and discipline to follow procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Comfort with math, algebra, and basic statistics, plus basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical calibration procedures and work independently.
• Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Ability to travel for onsite work, with a valid driver's license.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work in lab, plant, and outdoor settings.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and certify instruments using established procedures.
• Find and fix problems by analyzing data and making adjustments.
• Deliver accurate documentation with calibration reports and certificates.
• Keep work organized and meet scheduling and paperwork deadlines.
• Grow technical skills by learning new disciplines and developing procedures.
• Maintain a safe, professional workspace in lab and on site.
• Support onsite work and represent JM Test Systems at customer sites.
