Job summary

JM Test Systems is seeking a Calibration Lab Technician I to assist in calibrating, inspecting, repairing, and certifying instruments in our in-house lab and at customer sites. You will learn hands-on in a metrology lab, then apply your skills in the field with a team, ensuring instruments meet performance standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Comfort with general math, algebra, and statistics, plus basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical calibration procedures, and to work independently once trained.
• Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Ability to travel for onsite work with a valid driver's license and the ability to drive.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in lab, plant, and outdoor settings in varying conditions.
• Preferred: Associate's degree, technical training, or military training in measurement science, calibration, or electronics, or related calibration experience.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and certify instruments; assess condition, perform calibrations, and verify performance before delivery.
• Find and fix problems by analyzing measurement data and correcting through adjustments or replacements.
• Deliver accurate documentation through calibration data, reports, and certificates.
• Keep work organized, set priorities, and complete tasks on schedule.
• Grow technical skills by learning new calibration disciplines and developing procedures.
• Maintain a safe, professional workspace in lab, staging areas, and onsite trailers.
• Support onsite work and represent JM Test Systems at customer sites.
