Job summary

Prince George’s County Government’s Office of the Sheriff in Upper Marlboro is seeking a CALEA Manager (Administrative Specialist 1G), grade G29, to lead planning, policy development, and the accreditation program within the Bureau of Professional Accountability.

This high-level administrative role requires interpreting regulations, coordinating divisions, and maintaining CALEA standards, with responsibilities across supervisory duties and interagency liaison.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in governmental activities including CALEA accreditation experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate accreditation activities to ensure CALEA standards compliance.
• Develop and revise agency policies and manage the accreditation program.
• Plan and supervise division activities within agency policies and guidelines.
• Maintain liaison with Sheriff’s Office personnel and other agencies.
