California Correctional Health Care Services seeks a Pharmacy Technician for the CalAIM program in Sacramento, CA. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist II, you will perform basic pharmacy services and support operations to prepare prescriptions and maintain proper records.

This limited-term position may extend or become permanent, with duties focused on supporting the Central Fill Pharmacy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Job Description And Duties

Effective July 1, 2025 in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 20, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.

CCHCS seeks to fill a Limited-term CalAIM Pharmacy Technician position in the Medical Services – Central Fill Pharmacy.

Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist II, the Pharmacy Technician performs basic services in a pharmacy and technical duties which do not require licensure. The Pharmacy Technician assists in maintaining pharmacy operations and assists the pharmacists in preparing prescriptions and maintains records and inventories of drugs, poisons, and narcotics in accordance with Department policies and federal and State laws and regulations.

This is a limited term position which may be extended or become permanent.
