Overview
To build customer loyalty and provide personal customer interactions that foster genuine relationships with customers, resulting in a brand-aligned experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all customers.
- Prepare products for sale (icing, decorating, pricing, packaging, and labeling).
- Maintain product quality and freshness.
- Perform bakery clerk functions as requested.
- Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
- Properly clean work areas, couplers, and decorating bags.
- Organize the freezer, ensuring proper rotation of products by variety.
- Communicate customer requests and temperature issues to management.
- Keep supply areas neat, clean, and organized at all times.
- Properly rotate icings, read dates, and maintain cleanliness of buckets.
- Use cake manual and production sheets as references.
- Write on cakes and mix colors according to the color chart.
- Master the use of the airbrush.
- Achieve budgeted sales, minimize shrinkage, and maximize profits in the cake section.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Perform Front Porch duties to maintain customer arrival standards.
- Announce specials and sales via PA system.
- Assist in product receiving and storage.
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to read and understand information and directions.
- Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
