Responsibilities
- Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all customers.
- Prepare products for sale (icing, decorating, packaging, and labeling).
- Maintain product quality and freshness.
- Perform bakery clerk functions when requested.
- Maintain sanitation standards in all work areas.
- Clean work area, tools, and decorating supplies properly.
- Organize the freezer and rotate stock properly.
- Communicate customer requests and temperature issues to management.
- Keep the supply area neat and organized.
- Properly handle and rotate icings, and use the cake manual as reference.
- Write on cakes and mix colors according to the chart.
- Master the use of the airbrush.
- Use the cake production sheet to track work.
- Achieve sales, shrink, and profit goals for the cake section.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain customer arrival standards and assist with product receiving and storage.
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Good reading and understanding skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
