Job summary

Harps Food Stores is seeking a Cake Decorator to help run a vibrant bakery department. You will assist with daily operations, decorate cakes, and ensure product freshness and accurate labeling to meet customer expectations.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and adherence to food safety procedures. You will collaborate with teammates to maintain displays, handle inventory, and support a clean, welcoming bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Adaptable to different situations and shifting priorities.
• Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
• Lifts up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Repetitive motion with hands/arms.
• Stands/walks continuously during shift.
• May be exposed to weather and cleaning chemicals.
• Background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support bakery department operations including readiness, staffing, price maintenance and cleanliness.
• Manage bakery department replenishment and inventory processes including ordering, receiving and invoicing.
• Maintain merchandising and sales floor standards with displays, signing and zoning.
• Follow food safety production guidelines and ensure proper packaging, labeling and pricing.
• Adhere to department cleaning standards and use approved equipment and chemicals.
• Demonstrate problem solving, safety orientation and customer focus in daily tasks.
• Build relationships with customers and team members, upholding Harps’ mission.
