Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery Clerk to provide quality customer service within the Deli Bakery Department. You will help maintain standards, maximize sales through service, and minimize shrink through proper practices.

You will follow safety, sanitation, and labeling guidelines, and participate in training to stay updated on procedures. The role emphasizes friendly customer interactions, teamwork with associates, and adherence to company policies while ensuring a neat, compliant appearance

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand production standards for processing of all product and follow all technical manuals for processing and labeling.
• Ensure proper sanitation of department, equipment and proper food handling/preparation.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
