Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide quality customer service within the Deli Bakery Department, maintain standards, and maximize sales through excellent service.

Responsibilities include accurate customer assistance, product preparation, adherence to safety guidelines, proper handling of ingredients, and timely ordering and display of merchandise. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand ingredients, mixes, icings, and coordinate colors.
• Follow production standards and processing of all products.
• Ensure proper sanitation, labeling, and food handling procedures.
• Order, receive, prepare, condition, and display merchandise per policies.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies, and standard practices.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents and unsafe conditions per Food Lion procedures.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge and maintain a neat appearance.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet, and Training Aid courses.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
