Job summary

Paris Baguette North America in Bethesda is seeking enthusiastic Cake Decorators for Tier I and II roles. Available shift is from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Prior cake decorating is helpful but not required; passion for quality and customer service is welcomed.

Tier I requires 0–1 year of cake décor or related food prep. Tier II requires 1–3 years and a portfolio. Food Handler Certification (or within 30 days) and strong English are expected. Comfortable standing 7+ hours daily.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year cake decorating or related food prep experience
• Portfolio of custom cake work (photo evidence)
• Food Handler Certification (or within 30 days)
• Strong English for customer interaction
• Comfortable on feet 7+ hours

Responsibilities

• Ice and finish standard cakes per the company recipe
• Apply pre-made decorations (fruit, chocolate plaques, standard piping)
• Maintain cake case display — replenish, rotate, label
• Box and label cakes for whole-cake sales and pre-orders
• Clean and sanitize decorating station and tools
• Stock raw materials (fondant, fruit, cream)
• Execute custom cake orders — lettering, character drawings, color matching
• Handle pre-order pipeline for birthdays, weddings, corporate orders
• Train and quality-check Cake Decorator I work
• Communicate with customers for custom design clarification (phone/in-person)
• Track cake PAR and waste
• Backup for cake case stocking and FOH display merchandising
