Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking an enthusiastic bakery associate to plan and decorate cakes and other baked goods. You will support day-to-day bakery operations and deliver friendly, customer-focused service.

Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be 18+, and hold a Food Handler certification. Experience with decorating tools and a decorator certificate is a plus. This is a hands-on, on-site role in a retail bakery environment.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years of age; 21+ to drive for Company business.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Decorator certification desirable (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Prepares, ic es, and decorates cakes and other baked goods for display or customer requests.
• Traces and copies drawings onto cakes using templates or freehand sketches.
• Identifies, matches, and blends icing colors and textures to meet design needs.
• Selects decorating materials and tools; makes quick decisions under time pressure.
• Maintains clean, safe, and sanitary workspace following company procedures.
• Promotes product sales through suggestive selling and customer engagement.
