Job summary

McKeever Price Chopper is hiring a Cake Decorator to design and decorate cakes, cupcakes, and desserts for birthdays, weddings, and everyday celebrations. Bring creativity and attention to detail to every order, and help create memorable moments for customers.

You will follow customer requests, maintain a clean workspace, rotate inventory, and assist with bakery production while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in cake decorating or bakery production.
• Strong attention to detail with a creative eye for design.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions for custom orders.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
• Willing to obtain a food handler permit (assistance provided by McKeever’s).

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and desserts with precision and creativity according to customer orders and display standards.
• Take and fulfill custom cake orders accurately and on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area, tools, and equipment.
• Package, label, and stock finished bakery products for sale.
• Ensure proper rotation and quality of products in the display case.
• Maintain awareness of current design trends and seasonal offerings.
• Assist with general bakery production and support team members as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to bakery-related inquiries.
