Job summary

McKeever Price Chopper is seeking a Cake Decorator to craft custom cakes, cupcakes, and baked goods that delight customers. You will design and decorate desserts, take custom orders, maintain cleanliness, and ensure product quality in a fast-paced bakery environment while delivering friendly, helpful service.

Responsibilities include taking custom orders, ensuring on-time fulfillment, keeping the work area clean, and providing friendly service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior experience in cake decorating or bakery production required.
• Strong attention to detail and a creative eye for design.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions for custom orders.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
• Willing to obtain a food handler permit (assistance provided by McKeever's)

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and desserts with precision and creativity according to customer orders and display standards
• Take and fulfill custom cake orders accurately and on time
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area, tools, and equipment
• Package, label, and stock finished bakery products for sale
• Ensure proper rotation and quality of products in the display case
• Maintain awareness of current design trends and seasonal offerings
• Assist with general bakery production and support team members as needed
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to bakery-related inquiries
