Job summary

Sam's West, Inc. in Omaha, NE is seeking a Cake Decorator to support member services by delivering quality bakery items and engaging customers.

You will collaborate with associates to plan decorations, follow recipes, and ensure food safety while using decorating bags, tips, and nozzles to create flowers and lettering on items. Inventory and freshness are managed daily with emphasis on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 6 months' experience in fresh production area.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Acknowledges requirement to complete trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: collaborate with cross functional teams and educate associates on tools, tasks and resources; provide customer service and maintain in-stock levels.
• Be an Expert: plan bakery productions with consistent quality; decorate with bags, tips, nozzles to create flowers and lettering; ensure food safety and inventory management.
• Be a Techie: use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; utilize handheld technology for production decisions and training.
• Be an Owner: drive bakery area performance, manage waste, prep for seasonal events, assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: model high-quality service, train and inspire others, and maintain respectful, team-oriented interactions.
