Job Description

Weis Markets is seeking a dedicated Bakery Decorator who values respect, teamwork, and community growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for decorating bakery products, maintaining the bakery department, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Keep the bakery department well-stocked and appealing to meet customer demand.
2. Greet customers with a smile, assist with product questions, and take orders both in-store and over the phone.
3. Decorate cakes and bakery items using various techniques and ingredients, adhering to company recipes and standards.
4. Trim, cut, and assemble cakes, applying icing and decorations as required.
5. Assist in merchandising and maintaining inventory levels, following rotation and markdown policies.
6. Help with receiving and storing deliveries, including operation of equipment if trained.
7. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with health and OSHA standards.
8. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth department operations and continuous improvement.
9. Utilize all provided PPE to ensure safety.
10. Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of decorating experience preferred.
